Serious injury after alleged assault

A MAN has been airlifted to a Toowoomba hospital from Goranba after a serious leg injury in Goranba.

Queensland Police and Queensland Ambulance Service were called out to a property around 9.30am, after an alleged report of a dog being killed.

A QPS spokeswoman said a call was made in relation to a possible assault of an elderly man and a dog on Dahlkes Rd, Goranba.

A spokesman for QAS said one person was treated after the incident.

"The patient was involved in an alleged assault, where that patient sustained a serious leg injury," the spokesman said.

"He was treated and airlifted to Toowoomba hospital in a stable condition."

QPS confirmed one person is currently assisting police with their investigation.
