Showers forecast for Dalby weekend
RAIN is forecast for the Dalby region over the weekend, but just how much is still unclear.
The region has gone through a dry spell over the winter, with very little rain falling.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast Dalby should receive light showers on Saturday.
Annabelle Ford from the bureau said southern Queensland would be in for a wet weekend.
"We have a trough coming through southern Queensland and, unlike recently, this one has some moisture in it,” she said.
"Dalby will have a chance of showers.”
Ms Ford said 5mm would be expected but some areas could have up to 20mm fall.
The bureau forecast the chance of a thunderstorm over Dalby, which would bring more rain.
The majority of the rain is expected to fall on Saturday, but there is a chance of showers late on Friday or Sunday morning.
The rain is expected to clear by Sunday afternoon, and blue skies are forecast for next week.
