Sick of the cold? BOM confirms warmer week ahead

DALBY had it’s first taste of winter last week, with temperatures reaching as low as two degrees.

Metrologist Kimba Wong from the Bureau of Meteorology, confirmed that the week ahead will be on the warmer side.

“It certainly wont be as hectic,” Ms Wong laughed.

“This week will see a top of around 20 degrees each day and clear skies.”

Dalby received 15mm of rain towards the end of last week but Ms Wong confirms that it might be the last bit for a while.

“While Dalby did receive 15mm of rain last week, it doesn’t look as likely that we will receive that again, there will be some light showers but that’s about it.”

“Things got cold in Dalby very quickly, Friday was the coldest day last week as it only reached a high of 14.1 degrees.

“A thick cloud band stopped a lot of the southwest from receiving sunlight.

“A cool air mass made it’s way from the south which was the main cause of the fresh mornings but has since moved offshore.”

The mornings will still be fresh with a minimum of 4 degrees and partly cloudy.
