Simba sparks inspiration for young actors

CHILDREN and kids at heart were among the first to watch the Lion King's grand return to the screen at the Dalby cinema on Wednesday.

The live action reboot of the Disney classic was highly anticipated by locals with more than 100 attending the screening.

The premiere, hosted by the Dalby State School P&C, was a fitting fundraiser for the school's upcoming musical.

The movie was a chance for young actors and actresses from DSS to draw inspiration from the pros ahead of their own production of Disney's The Lion King Jr later this year.
