St Ruth grass fire left to burn out

THE sound of sirens on Saturday evening as two fire trucks headed south from Dalby was linked to a grass fire on a private property.

Two crews were dispatched to a property in St Ruth after QFES received a phone call reporting a fire at 7.20pm on Saturday night.

Emergency crews discovered a small grass fire on a private property on the corner of Cecil Plains rd and Worthingtons rd.

After speaking with the land owner, fire fighters deemed the blaze to be under control and allowed it to burn out.
