THE Department of Transport and Main Roads has advised streets in Dalby will be closed due to Telstra relocation works.

Both streets are on the west side of town and run off the Warrego Highway.

Watt Street will be closed from May 22-26, while Sunrise Avenue will be shut from May 29 to June 2.

The works include lowering existing Telstra services that cross Watt Street and Sunrise Avenue as part of the Warrego Highway upgrade.

The upgrade on the west side of Dalby is expected to cost $59 million and will improve safety at intersections and accesses from adjacent industrial developments.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads would like to apologise to vehicle users and pedestrians for any inconvenience caused by these road closures and thank them for their patience and understanding.

If you have any questions about these works, please do not hesitate to contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads on 46390777 or whup@tmr.qld.gov.au .
