Street parade takes Tara for on trip around the world

VISITORS from far and wide flooded Tara's main street on Friday to kick off celebrations for the Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races.

The festivities started with a parade and markets in the main street for both locals and travellers to enjoy.

Tara school students strutted down the street to show off their outfits from around the world, representing more than a dozen countries and the Dalby State School band played while shoppers browsed market stalls and tried out local eateries.
