Students pay their respects in ceremony

STUDENTS at Dalby South State School paid their respects to service men and women at a special Anzac Ceremony on Tuesday.

Deputy principal Jo Sutton said the occasion is crucial for both the students participation and education.

"School leaders Joseph, Monika, Tai and Azarya led the proceedings in what has become a very important tradition at Dalby South,” she said.

"Graham Coles from the RSL and Member for Warrego Ann Leahy were two of the invited guests who expressed their admiration after the service, commending students on their participation and respect.

"Children from Prep to Year 6 created class wreaths to lay during the ceremony as a sign of remembrance and the choir inspired reflection as they sang In Flanders Fields.”

Parents, siblings and staff were all present during the ceremony.
