THE Gold Coast has been dealt another blow ahead of the QClash with Pearce Hanley withdrawing with a hamstring injury.

Already missing Gary Ablett (hamstring) and Tom Lynch (knee) from last week's side, the Suns have now lost another key player to injury.

Hanley was named in the initial team on Thursday night, but pulled up sore after Friday's training session.

He was one of his side's best in last week's loss to Fremantle, collecting 24 disposals and booting his first goal for the Suns.

First-year midfielder Jack Bowes comes into the side, while Brad Scheer has been added to the emergencies.

For the Lions, Jerrod Berry is a late omission. Berry (foot) will be replaced by Claye Beams.

The Suns will be coached by Dean Solomon, after the Monday night sacking of Rodney Eade.
