SLOW-motion footage of a thunderstorm striking the Sunshine Coast has taken the region around the world.
The multiple strikes on Pelican Waters, captured in slow-motion by Daniel Power, has been picked up by news outlets around the world.

Just hours after the storm passed, the American ABC News shared the video on its Twitter page, complete with location credit to its 9.11 million followers.
The severe storm hit the region about 6.30pm.
The violence of the cell lasted just 45 minutes, delivering pockets of damage, knocking down trees and even causing a highway crash at Stony Creek.
More than 2000 were plunged into darkness during the storm, after it knocked out power in the Glasshouse Mountains, Beerburrum and Morayfield.
