AUSTRALIA'S entire overseas playing contingent, along with a pair of teenagers, have been named in the Matildas squad for this month's Tournament of Nations in the US.

Uncapped teenager Princess Ibini and Rio Olympian and Sydney schoolgirl Ellie Carpenter have made the cut for the four-nation tournament, along with overseas-based guns including Tameka Butt, Emily Gielnik, Caitlin Foord and Katrina Gorry.

Also in the team is Samantha Kerr, who was recently named the NWSL Player of the Week for the second time this season after scoring a hat-trick for her US club Sky Blue FC.

Winger Ibini, 17, is the sister of former Sydney FC speedster Bernie, and has been a past member of the Young Matildas with Carpenter, also 17.

"We've always known she's got a lot of potential but she really stepped up in the games against Canada and America last week, so it's a great sign that she's been able to progress to senior international football,” Stajcic said.

Missing from the squad are Michelle Heyman and Kyah Simon who are both rehabilitating from injury.

The touring Matildas team have been tasked with the job of securing a historic win over the US at the event.

Australia has yet to beat the women's football powerhouse in their previous 26 clashes.

Australia will also meet Japan and arch rivals Brazil, the team which knocked them out of the Olympics last year, at the tournament.

Australian-based players will depart for the US on July 21 with the Westfield Matildas' first match against the US in Seattle on July 28.
