Teen drink driver crashes car on Chardonnay Crt

AN 18-year-old driver will appear in court over drink driving charges after he crashed his car on Chardonnay Court at Buderim

The male driver crashed his Toyota Yaris into a tree just before 4am on the corner of Chardonnay Circuit and Chablis Court.  

Three other teenagers were in the car at the time. No one was seriously injured.

Three of the people in the car had minor injuries, including lower back pain and head pain from the airbag deployment. Two people were taken to Nambour General Hospital.

A spokesman from the Maroochydore Police Station  said the driver was breath tested and blew a blood alcohol reading of .122%.

He was issued a notice to appear in court at a later date.
