Teen killed in Whitsundays bus crash named

CASEY Stinson,19, has been named as the teenager who died after the Cannon Valley bus crash on Tuesday.

The Proserpine teenager was one of 13 people on board a Whitsunday Transit bus that crashed on Shute Harbour Rd about 1pm yesterday.

He was injured along with 10 other passengers after the crash.

Queensland Health confirmed Mr Stinson suffered "critical head injuries" as a result of the single-vehicle crash.

A Facebook page has been set up in memory of Mr Stinson.

Serena Stinson, a family member of Mr Stinson said "thank you to the person who has made this page and the slideshow. Our family is grieving more than anyone can imagine but it's amazing to know that he was so loved by others".
