Toddler finds deadly snake in Toowoomba yard

A TOOWOOMBA woman has warned people to be on the lookout for snakes after a toddler found a deadly Eastern Brown at the front door to her family's home.

The snake was found by Dimity Hohn's four-year-old nephew outside her Wilsonton home.

"Please keep your eyes open and watch your kids outside as these snakes are extremely venomous," Ms Hohn said.

"(My nephew's) extremely lucky as (the snake) had its mouth full eating a blue tongue lizard."
