Horror ordeal as capsizing kayak strands duo in river

THREE women are safe after their kayaks capsized, leaving them clinging to a log in Adelaide's River Torrens late Wednesday.

Nine News reports the women were rescued after spending two hours holding onto wooden debris in the middle of the rapidly flowing flooded river.

A Country Fire Service crew helped the three women ashore and none were injured.

"I'm fine," one of the kayakers told Nine News.

"We were just kayaking and capsized.

"We need to go home, our parents are worried." - ARM NEWSDESK
