Truck rollover closes south-east Qld motorway

LENGTHY delays are expected on the Logan Motorway following a serious crash near the Beaudesert Rd exit at Parkinson.

A truck travelling eastbound rolled over about 7am.

The truck driver was trapped in the vehicle, but he does not appear to have been seriously injured.

The road will be closed for up to four hours while emergency services work to clear the scene, News Corp reported.

The truck's load is understood to have spilt across the road.

Man, 88, dies after crash at Chandler

Meanwhile, police are continuing to investigate a fatal traffic crash that occurred at Chandler on September 7.

Initial investigations indicate around 4pm a car travelling north along New Cleveland Road has collided with the back of utility stopped in the roadway.

The car's driver, an 88-year-old Wakerley man, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died on October 1 after his condition deteriorated.

The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.
