Truckie drives Bruce Hwy with meth in system

A TRUCK driver has been fined $350 after he tested positive to having methamphetamine in his system.

Wayne Anthony Jones, 43, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates court to the drug offence after he was apprehended on the Bruce Highway in May 2014.

Jones was disqualified from driving for three months.

He had intended to defend the charge in the belief his medication held amphetamine.

It didn't.
