Two injured in two-motorbike crash

TWO men have been injured in a two-motorbike crash on the Moonie Highway.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the crash occurred at about 12:07pm about 2km south of the intersection of the Moonie Highway and Surat Developmental Road.

Two men, one in his 40s, are being assessed by paramedics, the QAS spokesman said.

The spokesman said one man is in a stable condition with a head injury, while the other sustained serious chest injuries and is in a serious but stable condition.

A rescue helicopter from Toowoomba has arrived on the scene.

A Queensland police spokesman said the road would be closed for a short time.
