IT FEELS like it's been going on almost as long as MKR, and now Married At First Sight finally comes to its dramatic conclusion.

Sunday April 2: Married At First Sight, Nine, 7pm

The Married At First Sight finale is finally here. In the first half of a two-part reunion special, the reality dating show's experts catch up with all of the original 20 participants to see who's still together, who may get back together and what everyone has learned from the experiment.

Why you should watch: Finally fans will find out if any of three remaining couples ­- Simon and Alene, Sharon and Nick, Nadia and Anthony - are still together and truly a good match. My money's on Simon and Alene. Plus the producers have thrown in one more boozy dinner party for good measure.

Monday April 3: Sunrise, Seven, from 5.30pm

After pouring a lot of resources into tracking Tropical Cyclone Debbie, the battle of the breakfast shows heats up again this week as both Sunrise and the Today show go on the road. Seven's Sunrise has really upped the ante with a five-day US road trip with destinations picked by the voting public.

Why you should watch: The challenge of this mystery tour should make for good viewing. Plus after Kochie's awkward coverage of TC Debbie, who knows what will come out of his mouth this week.

Tuesday April 4: The Chefs' Line, SBS, 6pm

SBS's new cooking competition sees passionate home cooks go up against professional chefs from some of Australia's top restaurants. Each week features a different cuisine and new contestants, plus a tour of the featured restaurant by host Maeve O'Meara.

Why you should watch: This is a refreshing, supportive format without all the added drama that features in other reality food shows. This really is all about the cooking and it's nice to see Australia's diversity being celebrated behind the kitchen bench. Read the interview with Mark Olive.

Wednesday April 5: Planet Earth II Diaries, Nine, 7.30pm

Planet Earth II was full of amazing, unique and colourful footage, but how was this achieved? Sir David Attenborough reveals the extraordinary dangers his crew went through to produce one of the most amazing documentaries of our time.

Why you should watch: It's easy to take some of the amazing vision on our screens for granted, so this is a great behind-the-scenes look at the lengths wildlife filmmakers go to get those awe-inspiring shots. Read the interview with Aussie filmmaker Chadden Hunter.

Thursday April 6: You Can't Ask That, ABC, 9.30pm

Giving an unmediated platform to some of the most misunderstood and marginalised people in the country, You Can't Ask That offers genuine insight into the lives of Australians with labels. The show's format is simple: questions are posed to stereotyped groups and they in turn answer candidly and honestly.

Why you should watch: Refreshing and at times thought-provoking, this series will open your eyes and answer some of those questions you've always been afraid to ask.

Friday April 7: The Graham Norton Show, Ten, 8.30pm

Graham welcomes Night Manager and Thor star Tom Hiddleston to talk about his new movie, Kong, while Skull Island and actress Ruth Wilson chats about starring in the play Hedda Gabler.

Comedian Ricky Gervais talks about his upcoming stand-up tour and explains his seven-year hiatus since the last one. The stars of the play Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, Daniel Radcliffe and Joshua McGuire, also join the infamous red couch for a chat.

Why you should watch: Ricky Gervais is always good for a laugh and he's likely to have great chemistry with Hiddleston and Radcliffe.

Saturday April 8: The Halcyon, ABC1, 8.15pm

Lady Hamilton wants Freddie to use his leave from the RAF to help with the hotel and has Garland in her sights; while Charity reveals her plans for revenge to Joe. Emma and Betsey hit the town.

Why you should watch: This period drama has been tipped as the new Downton Abbey thanks to its lavish costumes and sets, and diverse range of characters. Plus the cast, most notably Olivia Williams Steven Mackintosh and Alex Jennings, is great.
