Why emergency services rushed to a Pratten St address overnight

EMERGENCY services rushed to a house on Pratten Street overnight after the residents reported a suspicious smell wafting from the house.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman confirmed QFES arrived on scene about 6pm after the occupant located a “potent” smell inside the house, which was later reported as a potential “hazard chemical spill leak”.

Dalby firefighters, joined by police and paramedics, inspected the house to find the source of the smell, however they did not find anything suspicious.

The spokeswoman said fireys stayed on to help ventilate the house, and all occupants were accounted for.

Emergency services left the scene by 8pm.
