Woman arrested for hiding a knife in car, another found with meth

Hidden possessions

POLICE intercepted a vehicle on Moreton Street at midnight on July 14 and conducted a search.

In the handbag of a 30-year-old female inside the car police located an uncapped syringe and needle, a knife, a straw, and 50 unused clip seal bags.

She was charged with failure to dispose of a needle and syringe, and possession of a knife in a public place.

She will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on August 11.

Arrest for multiple matters

AT 9am on Monday morning, police arrested a 27-year-old female for another matter.

After she was escorted to Dalby watch-house, she was searched and police located a clip seal bag with a white, crystal substance police believed to be methylamphetamines, and a scoop.

She was charged and remanded in custody for her remaining matters.

Dalby drug drivers

Police intercepted and charged a number of drivers in Dalby who tested positive for driving with illicit substances in their system.

At 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon, a 26-year-old male was intercepted on the Warrego Highway at Dalby and was subject to a random breath and drug test.

He tested positive for having drugs in his system.

He will appear in Dalby court on September 8.

A 37-year-old male tested positive during a roadside drug test on the Warrego Hwy at Bowenville on Sunday at 4pm.

His licence was suspended for 24 hours, and he will appear in Dalby court on September 8.

On Jimbour St, police intercepted a male, 42, for a random breath test and drug test on July 12 at 8.40am.

He tested positive during his blood test, and will appear in court on September 1.

A 22-year-old male was stopped by police on Monday evening at 7.50pm on Winton st east.

He returned a positive reading during a roadside drug test, and will appear in court on September 1.

Disqualified drivers

POLICE stopped several drivers who were caught on the road despite holding suspended and disqualified licences.

A 20-year-old female was intercepted on the Warrego Hwy at Dalby for driving with a disqualified licence.

She was given a notice to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on August 11.

At 2.4pm on Sunday a 44-year-old female was intercepted on Wood st for driving while disqualified.

She was charged by police and will appear in court on August 4.

A 61-year-old male was stopped by police on Branch Creek rd for driving with a disqualified licence due to loss of demerit points.

He will appear in court on September 15.
