
Police investigate how car crashed into empty dam
UPDATE: POLICE are investigating what caused a young driver to veer off the road and crash into an empty dam at Junabee.
The driver and her passenger were travelling along Roona Rd when their car swerved left and crashed over an embankment at 1.30pm.
The small white hatchback rolled several times before coming to rest in an empty dam.
Two women were injured in the crash and taken to Warwick Hospital.
One is reported to have had an arm injury, while the other complained of neck pain.
The section of Roona Rd on which the crash occurred is a narrow, gravel road.
Fire crews were called to the scene to assist the tow truck in removing the damaged car.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
