Search for woman missing in Tasmania

Police were still searching yesterday for a 53-year-old woman last seen by her family at her Penguin home on Wednesday afternoon.

Search efforts for Angela Joy Jeffrey have been concentrated around Narawntapu National Park, in Tasmania's north, where her car was found and she has reportedly been spotted twice.

Her husband, David, told media his wife suffered from bipolar and had been severely depressed. "She has suffered with it for 33 years and never done anything like this before," he said.
