X Factor contestant killed in car crash after performance
A FORMER contestant on the television talent show X Factor has been killed in car crash, just hours after performing at a country music festival in South Australia.
Nathaniel O'Brien, who appeared on the Channel Seven reality program last year, died when his car crashed into a tree in the small town of Hanson, about 150 kilometres north of Adelaide, at 11am on Sunday.
The 19-year-old had performed on Sunday morning at the Burra Country Music Festival, and was driving on the Barrier Highway towards Adelaide, where he was due to perform another gig that day, when the crash occurred.
South Australia Police said the teenager was the only person in the vehicle at the time, and died at the scene of the crash.
