Young Dalby man attempts to speed off, busted with drugs
A young Dalby man incriminated himself after he allegedly attempted to speed away prior to police intercepting him.
Dalby police observed the 22-year-old driving around Dalby about 8.45pm, where it’s alleged the man began exceeding the speed limit.
He was subsequently intercepted for the purpose of a licence check and vehicle search, with 3.13g of marijuana allegedly discovered.
Officers then discovered the man was also allegedly driving unregistered, and on a suspended licence.
The man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs, not having proper control of a vehicle, driving without a licence due to suspension, driving an unregistered vehicle, and disobeying the speed limit.
He will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on March 30.
