Young man airlifted after serious Oakey crash

EMERGENCY crews rushed to Oakey last night following reports a man had crashed into a power pole.

Paramedics attended the incident along T Moore Rd near Oakey Kingsthorpe Rd about 9.35pm.

A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said electricity had to be cut to the pole which was snapped in half due to the crash.

A man in his 20s was transported by road ambulance to Toowoomba Airport, where he was subsequently flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
