YOUR SAY: Sport stadiums not the priority in the north
IT might be a vote-getter to build a new stadium in North Queensland, but I maintain that $300 million would be better spent on providing massive water storage infrastructure, so that water can be funnelled into the parched central west of the state.
I have observed large areas down through our state's centre that would be very productive, given water.
Many jobs could be created by investing in water storage.
Next, upgrade all our Queensland highways to access newly developed agricultural areas and, for that matter, new mega stadiums.
